5 million Gmail Usernames and Password Leaked!

Yeah, the title says it all. 5 million of them have been leaked according to LifeHacker (you can read the article here) to a Russian Bitcoin forum. Although it was said that Gmail itself was not hacked so probably they got it from somewhere else. Nevertheless it's better to be safe than sorry. Change your password now and even better enable the 2-step verification. I know it can be tedious and much of a hassle but better than losing everything.

So why should you activate 2-step verification? The following picture should help you to understand the importance of it and what happens after you have enabled it.

Why should you enable 2-step verification? Here's why.
Take note people after you've activate the 2-step verification
Other than that, you need to download the Google Authenticator app. It can be found on the App Store and the Google Play too. It's like a token for you to access your Gmail after you've entered your password. Links below.

There you have it. I've enabled mine already as a precaution as well changed my password. You never know you might be in one of those list. Never take things for granted just because everything is alright so far. Be safe people!
