5 million Gmail Usernames and Password Leaked!

Yeah, the title says it all. 5 million of them have been leaked according to LifeHacker (you can read the article here) to a Russian Bitcoin forum. Although it was said that Gmail itself was not hacked so probably they got it from somewhere else. Nevertheless it's better to be safe than sorry. Change your password now and even better enable the 2-step verification. I know it can be tedious and much of a hassle but better than losing everything.

Other than that, you need to download the Google Authenticator app. It can be found on the App Store and the Google Play too. It's like a token for you to access your Gmail after you've entered your password. Links below.

Well I've checked the Twitter account for Maxis and it seems that they've deleted the spams because as you can see from the picture below, there was a skip on the dates from 21.06.2014 to today's date (24.06.2014). The spam occurred on the 22.06.2014. I hope they've taken actions in preventing this from happening again.

Well no thank you for me to inform them about it. Kinda ironic because I thought 'MaxisListens'? *smirk* Just kidding! Helping them is good enough for me. Anyway to everyone out there out there who's very active in the digital world, please be careful about your account. Never take advantage by saying everything will be a-okay. Never.

Maxis is spamming?

A weird sight that I've seen on my tweet. I don't know either this post was unintentional due to the account has been hijacked or Maxis has gone into a business that they need to spam. Either way, they have been notified on FB and Twitter. I hope they'll act fast on clearing this up.
