So you want the world to know that you have YM and you want them to know when you're online from your blog? How? Relax, it's not as hard as you think! You can put it easily on Blogger aka Blogspot, Wordpress, Blogsome or anywhere that supports HTML coding but for this one, I'm going to do it for Blogger (obviously!). If you ever blog, you may be familiar with putting widget in yout blog. If you did, so that won't be so hard! I'll come teach you how.
Step 1:
Grab a cup of coffee. (Who knows you might be sleepy with codes?)
Step 2:
Go to Dashboard > Layout > Page Elements > Add a Gadget
Step 3:
When the 'Add a gadget' window pops out, select 'HTML/Javascript' gadget.
Step 4:
You copy and paste the following codes to your gadget.

Don't forget to change the username 'YOURYAHOOID' to your own username. For example, if your username is 'John', therefore your replace it from the original

if all goes well, you should see something like this on your blog.
So now you know how to put your YM status on your blog, you can also customize the appearances by tweaking a value. You only need to replace the 't' value. For example in the sample code above, it uses the value of 8. When you change it, to another number from 1-24, you will get a different styles. Here are the full lists. Enjoy!
